Economic study of Belgium

Considering the chart above we can see that although there was a recession in 2008 that caused the inflation rate as well as unemployment to fall, the economy of Belgium started to grow sharply shortly after, as we see a spike in the GDP of 2010, from then, the growth of Belgium’s economy has been stable and positive, although very small in percentage. Unemployment has also been very low and stable for the time period. The trend of the account balance demonstrate that Belgium is slowly becoming a nation with a higher debt.

National income statistics are difficult to make, this is due to several factors. Unrecorded economic activity, inaccuracies, the variance among a great amount of sources, the time period in which the data is gathered, etc...
